How do I apply?
All applications to the Social Enterprise Academy are carried out online. All forms are required to be filled and submitted online. Your application includes the form itself and all required recommendation letters, test scores, writing samples, portfolio, and a statement of purpose. However, see individual programme pages for more peculiar requirements.
How can I upload documents through the website?
Once you've filled out the online application, submitted it and paid application fee, return to your log in page. You will now have the option to upload your statement of purpose, resume, writing sample and unofficial transcripts.
Can I upload letters of recommendation?
No, the applicant cannot upload their own recommendation letters. After your application is submitted, we will send an electronic request to your referees.
Is there an application fee?
Applicants are to pay a non-refundable application fee of #10,000.
What is the cost of tuition?
The cost of tuition differs by programme. See tuition's and fees page for more information.
How do I get access to the academic calendar?
The academic calendar is available on the SEA website.
What kind of people is the SEA certificate programmes aimed at?
Graduates and undergraduates who are interested in exploring a career in social enterprise business or what to be a social entrepreneur, young entrepreneurs, working class individuals in public office, private sector and Non Governmental organizations.
Can I apply to begin my programme at a time different from the resumption date?
Please check the programme to which you are applying in our requirements guide or speak to admission office.
I would like to study at SEA. What programmes are available?

I am an undergraduate. Please can I apply for the programme?
Do I need working experience in Social Enterprise before I can apply for SEA programmes?
Our certificate programmes are for both experienced and non-experienced.
When does the SEA calendar for this year start?
1st August, 2017
How will I know whether my application is complete?
We will email you upon receipt of your application and further information and correspondence will be communicated via your email.
When does the Social Enterprise Academy need to receive my application?
Complete your application 2 weeks to programme commencement.
Can I amend or change my programme after application?
Yes, 2 weeks before the programme commencement. Note this is subjected to space availability
Can I check the status of my application?
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments for application can be made online during registration with your ATM cards (Visa, Verve or MasterCard). You can also pay to the specified bank.
Can I pay in installments?

How accessible are the faculty to the students?
Teaching faculties are there to support student through your SEA journey and are available outside class times to discuss academic issues.
What form does the teaching take?
Most teaching takes the form of structured lectures and case studies. The style is participatory and classes frequently include case analysis and discussions. There are also many projects and group work, field investigations and visits, as well as individual research and simulations.
Do I need to buy books?
We provide you with comprehensive programme materials, included in the fee. You will need to buy some core texts and you will probably want to buy additional books to help you read around the subject.
What is your refund policy?
SEA operates a refund policy for tuition fees only. Refunds are not processed for purchases relating to study materials, application fee, examinations fees or any other SEA product or service. Requests for refunds will not be accepted if received two weeks to the commencement of the programme.
What do I do if I have a complaint?
We aim to resolve all complaints and queries within 10 days of receipt but it can sometimes take longer if the problem is a complicated one.
